Sat 6 April 12:30pm-1pm UNIS

Hanoi International School (HIS) with the support of the United Nations International School (UNIS) have kindly invited Vietnam Australia School (VAS) to play an exhibition game of Gaelic Football at the MRISA (Mekong River International Schools Association) senior soccer tournament hosted by UNIS on the weekend of 6 April.

It is a good opportunity to demonstrate the sport to more schools. A school in Cambodia introduced Gaelic Football after watching the last MRISA Exhibition Gaelic competition in February. The game on Saturday is a junior boys’ game. There are lots of skillful players on both teams so it is hoped that an entertaining game will result and entice a few more schools to take up Gaelic Football.

These exhibition Gaelic matches are the brainchild of the HIS Director of Gaelic Football, Mr Michael Clifford of Gloucester. The Viet Celts together with Education in Ireland and the Movenpick Hotel – Hanoi are fully supportive of the initiative.
