Embassy Reception for the VC

Catherine Ganley presents a Duracelts shirt to Ambassador Maeve Collins

On 15 November 2010, a reception for the Viet Celts was organised by the Irish Embassy at the Embassy Residence to celebrate the Viet Celts winning the Asian Club of the Year 2010 award, three Asian All Stars and a fine run by the Duracelts to reach the Asian Ladies Plate final. The three Asian All Stars were won by Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Tara MacMahon and Claire Coughlan.

The incoming Duracelts Captain, Catherine Ganley presented the Duracelts Clubwoman of the Year 2010 award to the outgoing Captain, Katy Lankester in recognition of her work for the club during the year in particular getting the team ready for Hong Kong. A flight ticket was also presented by the club to Nguyen Ngoc Quynh to get him to Kuala Lumpur for the All-Stars in November.  VC Vice-Chairman, Colm Ross went to the trouble of organising the ticket.

The Viet Celts would like to thank Ambassador Maeve Collins and everybody at the Irish Embassy for their support over the years.
