VAS Gaelic Footballers meet Irish Minister of State, Conor Lenihan

On 17 March, the VAS Gaelic Footballers were invited to attend a presentation at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi, organised by the Embassy of Ireland on the occasion of St Patrick’s Day, the national holiday of Ireland.

Conor Lenihan, Irish Minister of State for Science, Technology, Innovation and Natural Resources  was in attendance with the Irish Ambassador to Vietnam, Maeve Collins. They presented medals and trophies to the VAS students.

The Gaelic Football Club, run by Jim Kiernan, is one of the most outstanding clubs in the school.  Last winter, BBC reporter Eilis Staunton interviewed the VAS Gaelic Footballers for Irish radio.
